Response from Fred Dahlinger: Bannerline was a periodical published by John Van Matre for many years. It was mimeographed with single color covers, stapled, with a limited circulation. Fred Bailey Thompson may have been a contributor, of which there were many. The contents included memoirs, reviews, routes (often from the Higgins collection), transcriptions of route books and more.
There are holdings of it in various members hands, as well as at the three principal public circus collections: Circus World Museum, library; Illinois State University--Milner Library Rare Book Room; and John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, Circus Museum. An archivist or curator at one of them ought to be able to provide you with scans or photocopies of the pages that you desire.
To the best of my knowledge, there is no index available for Bannerline. The only leads to material in it may be in the Draper Index at the CWM library, which is a hard copy, handwritten resource.
