Our August Circus History Live! program will feature Dan Meyer and Marc Hartzman who will explore the history of sword swallowing and provide a live demonstration of this thrilling artform!
Dan Meyer is known as the world's leading expert on sword swallowing. In addition to being a performer, he is president of Sword Swallowers Association International. Marc Hartzman is author of American Sideshow: An Encyclopedia of History's Strangest and Most Wondrous Performers. According to ABC News, Marc is "one of America's leading connoisseurs of the bizarre."
Together Dan and Mark authored To the Hilt: A Sword Swallower's History of Sword Swallowing. They are both proud members of the Circus Historical Society and gave a presentation about this topic at our recent convention. You will not want to miss this amazing episode!

Circus History Live! is free for Circus Historical Society members and non-members. However, because our Zoom Big Top has a limited number of seats, registration is required and nonmembers are encouraged to join CHS.
